Toshiba America Information Systems Inc.'s Digital Solutions Div. announces the IK-M44A remote-head color camera system. It comes with a choice of three camera heads: a 1/3-in. or 1/2-in. CCD or a C-mount that is suitable for use with a wide selection of optics and couplers. All offer a horizontal and vertical resolution of more than 470 and 350 TVL, respectively. They are remotely controlled via a compact, lightweight camera control unit with a flexible cable up to 100 ft long. The interlace scanning system features a 46-dB signal-to-noise ratio, an RS-232C interface, an external sync and an electronic shutter. It is suitable for applications such as medical, machine vision, microscopy, endoscopy, nondestructive testing and scientific imaging.
