Imperx Inc. has added the IPX-4M15-L progressive-scan camera to its Lynx line. The device delivers a maximum rate of 118 fps with area of interest, and up to 2-megapixel resolution at 315 fps. Onboard intelligence provides horizontal windowing, automated iris, a 10-s integration time, and upgradable camera software and firmware. The camera operates from −5 to 50 °C, has a 60-dB dynamic range and a gain range from 6 to 41 dB, and consumes 5.2 W. Users can program the dynamic range by selecting 8-, 10- or 12-bit output, applying multiple look-up tables, binning vertically and horizontally, and making dynamic transfer-function corrections. Applications include machine vision, surveillance and character recognition.
