Prosilica Inc. has launched the EC1380 digital 1.4-megapixel CCD camera for industrial applications. It has a FireWire interface and is available in monochrome and color versions. The latter has onboard color interpolation for RGB24, YUV4:1:1, YUV4:2:2 and raw Bayer output. Incorporating a Sony ICX-285 CCD sensor with EXview HAD technology, the cameras achieve 1360 X 1024-pixel resolution at 20 fps. They measure 38 X 46 X 33 mm and have top and bottom mounting holes. Additional features include binning and region-of-interest readout.
