Newport Corp. offers the Oriel IS-190 and -380 miniature spectrometers. The devices incorporate photodiode arrays for broader spectral responses and higher sensitivity in the UV than instruments that employ CCD detectors. Suitable for use in general-purpose laboratory or specialized spectroscopy applications or for integration into other instruments, the spectrometers are available in two spectral ranges -- 190 to 380 nm and 380 to 1100 nm -- and in fiber-coupled or free-space arrangements. Standard interfaces include RS-232 and USB, and a wireless fidelity option is available. The devices are compatible with Oriel light sources and sampling accessories.
