For electronic imaging applications that use CCDs as their photodetector, the ADCDS-1410 has been released by C&D Technologies Inc. The signal processor achieves 14-bit resolution and a throughput rate of 10 megapixels per second. Combining a variety of mixed-signal integrated circuits and passive components in a compact, 40-pin, 800-mW single-chip package, it produces a typical signal-to-noise ratio of 73 dB. Included are a user-configurable input amplifier, a correlated double sampler and a sampling A/D converter. Features include adjustable gain and offset, a 2.4-V output reference circuit, an out-of-range detector and a programmable analog bandwidth function.
