Launched by Burle Electro-Optics Inc., the 5905 Magnum electron multiplier is designed as a plug-in replacement that fits directly into Thermo Finnigan mass spectrometers. The company says that proprietary Spiraltron technology delivers a high dynamic range and increased gain stability, and virtually eliminates feedback noise. It also says that its glass formulation increases detector life. The device's one-piece construction eliminates fastener and connection problems for tool-free, fast installation. The company also can supply a highly polished, high-grade stainless steel mounting assembly.
