A mini stereoscopic add-depth binocular viewer has been launched by Stereoscopic Image Systems (SIS) Ltd. for use with robots and remotely operated vehicles. It was originally designed for a US-based crash, search and rescue team and typically is used with the company's "Bug," a single-camera stereoscopic sensor attached to Packbot search-and-rescue robots. The <500-g viewer is suitable for areas where operators use unmanned ground vehicles. It can be handheld or helmet-mounted, with wired and wireless options available.
