Manufacturer: Jenoptik Laserdiode GmbH (JOLD)
FIBER-COUPLED DIODE LASER

Jenoptik-Laserdiode.jpgJenoptik Laserdiode GmbH (JOLD) has introduced a passively cooled fiber-coupled diode laser with increased brightness and reduced volume. It produces up to 30 W from the 5-m-long fiber, which features core diameters of between 0.1 and 0.4 mm, with a numerical aperture of 0.22. Standard wavelengths are 808, 915, 938 and 976 nm, with 981 available upon request. Typical spectral bandwidth for all is 3 nm, and maximum is 4 nm FWHM. Center wavelength variation at 25 °C is 3 or 5 nm, typical operating current is 40 to 44 A, and typical threshold current is 6 or 7 A, all dependent upon wavelength. Maximum operating voltage is 2.2 V, and expected lifetime is >20,000 h at constant current.
