1.3-MEGAPIXEL CMOS CHIP

The ADCC-3000, a 1/4-in.-format, 1.3-megapixel CMOS chip, fits into the handset industry's smallest low-profile camera modules. Available from
Avago Technologies, the imaging chip uses the company’s proprietary enhanced-performance pixel architecture and image pipe processing technology to increase resolution, remove lens shading, and decrease dark current and noise. The device features a 1280 × 1024 array of 2.8-µm square pixels and is capable of 15 fps at full resolution or 30 fps in VGA mode. It offers automatic white balance, adaptive tone mapping, advanced exposure control, enhanced automatic pixel correction, true color image processing, locally adaptive color noise suppression, smooth 4× digital zoom, a special-effects generator, and programmable dual LED and xenon flash strobe synchronization.
