A line of diode lasers consisting of single emitters, bars and fiber-coupled packages, and using BrightLife technology, has been released by nLight Corp. The technology is based on a proprietary aluminum-free laser structure grown by metallorganic chemical vapor deposition, facet passivation technology and state-of-the-art solder processes. The lasers have a mean time to failure of more than 80,000 h at room temperature.
