StockerYale Inc. has introduced the Lasiris Magnum II structured-light lasers, high-power laser diode line generators for use in industrial applications. Available with a variety of output powers and fan angles, they produce a uniform non-Gaussian intensity distribution using patented line-generating optics. They feature fully protected electronics and a bipolar thermoelectric cooler that keeps the laser diode at a constant temperature. The beam can be modulated by an external signal, and all models can operate in either continuous-wave or external modulation mode. They are protected against overvoltage, reverse polarity of power supply, overheating and electrostatic discharge.
