Brighten Optics Ltd. has unveiled a multichannel beamsplitter for medical laser therapy, high-power white lasers, fiber optic communications and optical fiber sensors. Operating and center wavelengths are 400 to 2000 nm, and operating temperature is –40 to –85 °C. Fiber diameters are 50, 62.5, 100, 200, 400, 1000 and 2000 µm, and input/output fibers have numerical apertures of 0.22, 0.39 and 0.48. Four port configurations are offered: 1 × 4, 1 × 8, 1 × 16 and 1 × 32, with maximum uniformities of 0.4, 0.5, 0.6 and 0.7 dB, respectively. The output power is adjustable for each channel. Directivity is –50 dB.
