Eastman Kodak Co.’s Image Sensor Solutions group has released the KAC-01301, a CMOS imager sensor for the design of next-generation mobile phones. The 1/4-in. raw output instrument incorporates proprietary Pixelux technology, including pinned photodiodes and four-transistor, four-shared pixel architecture. It has 1280 × 1024 active pixels that are 2.7 µm square and offers subsampling and region-of-interest windowing modes as well as support for SXGA (15 fps), XGA, SVGA, VGA (30 fps), QVGA (84 fps), CIF (65 fps) and QCIF (220 fps) resolutions. It operates in progressive-scan mode, with continuous and single-frame rolling shutter modes.
