Tempotec Optics Co. Ltd. now fabricates colored glass filters of various types: the cutoff, which blocks the short wavelength by absorption and transmits the long wavelength; the selective absorption, which transmits or absorbs one or several wavelengths; and the neutral density version, which provides a similar level of absorption for the full visible wavelength range. The filters are available in circular or rectangular shapes up to 200 mm in size. They offer surface quality of typically 60/40 and up to 40/20, flatness of typically λ/4 and up to λ/10, and parallelism of <30 arcs per second typically and up to 3 arcs per second. Antireflection coating is available.
