The Land Guide M3 announced by Land Instruments International is a handheld thermal imager that offers fingertip controls, high-quality images with provision for voice annotation, onboard image processing, 100-image memory capacity and USB connectivity. Temperature measurement range is from –20 to 250 °C, and sensitivity is 0.12 °C. The instrument detects small temperature differences and displays them as high-resolution 8-bit thermal images. Measurement options include simultaneous spot and area analysis, line profile, isotherm analysis and electronic zoom function. A cursor automatically tracks and indicates the position and temperature of the hottest spot within the image, and a second cursor in the center of the image indicates the temperature and provides a reference for inspection analysis. An alarm sounds and displays when a temperature spot exceeds a preset value.
