Lynx Photonic Networks of Calabasas Hills, Calif., has won a contract from the Moscow-based Rostelecom, a national long-distance telecommunications operator. It will provide the organization with photonic systems to protect its dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) links, ensuring fast network recovery from failures. Lynx offers photonic switching products and subsystems, including the LightLeader plug-and-play communications systems for protection switching and other applications.
