Polytec Inc., a provider of light-based vibration, speed, length and topography measurement systems in Tustin, Calif., has opened a regional office in Hopkinton, Mass. The facility will have an engineering staff to provide sales, service and application support to eastern US and Canada. It also will include an engineering lab, which will provide characterization of customer-supplied structures and microelectromechanical systems devices by scanning laser vibrometry, stroboscopic video microscopy and scanning white-light interferometry.
