Powerlase Ltd. of Crawley, UK, is expanding its manufacturing and development facility by 12,800 sq ft to accommodate its R&D activities and to meet the demand for its diode-pumped solid-state lasers. The work, being done on a building adjacent to the existing plant, was expected to be completed by the end of January. The products have applications in ablative lithography, copper cutting and laser milling.
