The Nanoelectronics Collaborative Research Center under the Institute of Industrial Science at the University of Tokyo and Sharp Corp. of Osaka, Japan, have established Todai-Sharp Laboratories for collaborative research and development of flexible electronics. Sharp and the university will manage and operate the facility under a five-year agreement. They will employ full-time researchers from within the university along with younger staff members and midcareer engineers from the company.
