Dalsa Corp. has unveiled its Spyder GigE compact line-scan camera, with three times the responsivity and twice the speed of its predecessor. It offers Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for high-speed web, flat panel display, pick-and-place and other machine vision applications. Based on proprietary sensor technology, the camera is available in 1000- and 2000-pixel resolutions with 14-μm pixel pitch, and it operates at speeds of up to 80 MHz. Its QuickCam graphical user interface provides access to the camera’s features. The Gigabit Ethernet interface eliminates the need for a frame grabber.
