For industrial machine vision applications, Atmel Corp. has launched two additions to its Atmos family of area-scan CMOS cameras. The 2M30 and 2M60 models have a 2.5-megapixel sensor and a Camera Link interface, and they work in 8, 10 or 12 bits. They are delivered in a 44-mm² section design with a C-mount adapter. Dynamic range is 63 dB, and timing modes include free-run, triggered and ITC with 0- to 655-ms setting of the shutter signal in increments of 10 μs. The region of interest allows the end user to implement infinite resolutions and to increase the frame rate.
