The Phoenix D24CL Camera Link frame grabber in PC/104-Plus format has been introduced by Active Silicon Ltd. It delivers high speeds over the full industrial temperature range and acquires digital data from a variety of Camera Link sources, including digital frame capture and line-scan cameras. It supports all the formats of Base configuration, from single 8- to 16-bit data through 8-bit RGB to dual-tap 12-bit sources, as well as camera tap formats such as line interlaced and line offset, and pixel interlaced and pixel offset. Region of interest and subsampling controls increase processing speed by storing only the required data, and the look-up table provides support for gamma correction, dynamic range cropping and binary thresholding in real time. The DataMapper maps and packs the acquired data prior to transfer across the PCI bus.
