Packaged in a standard TO-5 header, the id100-OEM single-photon detection module for the visible range has been introduced by id Quantique SA for large-volume OEM applications. The CMOS silicon chip combining a 50-μm-diameter Geiger-mode single-photon avalanche photodiode and a fast active quenching circuit is mounted atop a one-stage thermoelectric cooler. A thermistor is placed on the TE-cooled cold side and is accessible externally when temperature control is required. The device can be mounted by the customer on a printed circuit board.
