The real-time MPlay4000 video decoder accepts mpeg4 video streams across a 32-bit PC/104+ bus from a file or live video stream, and it decodes and displays the video. Available from Advanced Micro Peripherals Ltd., the device features a single 5-V power supply, DVD playback acceleration, direct display to VGA or television monitors, and VGA and phase alternation line/NTSC composite or S-video output. It has applications in video telemetry, medical and industrial imaging, mobile entertainment systems, and remote visualization and vehicle control.
