VDS Vosskühler GmbH has unveiled the IRC-300 infrared camera with spectral response in the 8- to 14-μm region. It features an uncooled microbolometer sensor that resolves temperature distinctions of 80 mK over an operating temperature range from 20 to 150 °C at ƒ/1.0. At a rate of 50 fps, the camera produces noise-free images with 320 × 240-pixel resolution. The imaging area is 14.4 × 10.8 mm, and pixel size is 45 × 45 μm. Output is 12-bit digital via Camera Link (OEM model) and FireWire (system model).
