kSaria and DRS Announce Agreement
KSaria of Lawrence, Mass., and DRS Laurel Technologies plan to construct an automated center at DRS’ 130,000-sq-ft facility in Johnstown, Pa., for the manufacture of fiber optic cables. The center will incorporate kSaria’s manufacturing platform, designed for process control to produce cables suitable for use in the harsh environments present in defense and aerospace applications. The technology was developed through the US Navy’s Manufacturing Technology program.
DRS Laurel is a supplier of electronic manufacturing solutions ranging from circuit card assembly to product design, testing and integrating systems for military applications.
