OmniVision to Supply Image Sensors to Hella
OmniVision Technologies Inc. of Sunnyvale, Calif., has been selected to provide CMOS image sensors to Hella KGaA Hueck & Co. of Lippstadt, Germany, a supplier of automotive parts and accessories. Hella’s rearview camera system will employ the sensors, allowing for an aperture angle of more than 120°, which enables the entire area behind a vehicle to be within the field of view. The color camera for the rearview driver assistance system uses both companies’ technology in lighting, optics and electronics development.
