The Matrox Nexis integrated image acquisition subsystem has been introduced by
Matrox Imaging. It features two remote camera heads that perform simultaneous image acquisition, a dual-camera control unit and a frame grabber on a PC/104Plus card. It is designed for use and sold with the company’s 4Sight M industrial vision computer. The camera heads use interline transfer progressive-scan CCD image sensors with square pixels and are available in a compact or ultra-compact body. Available image sensors include support for sub- to megapixel resolution, higher readout or frame rates, and monochrome or color imaging. The 4Sight M system accommodates up to two Nexis subsystems for simultaneous acquisition from up to four independent camera heads.
