MVTec Software GmbH has released version 3.1 of its ActivVisionTools machine vision software, which features the ActivDataCode reader that supports ECC 200, QR codes and PDF417. It reads multiple symbols per image and supports all printing styles and various illumination conditions. Improved integration in .NET is performed via drag-and-drop, without the need for writing code. Enhanced overlays include an API for drawing custom lines and circles, and optional contours and text background for better visibility. The software’s open architecture is extensible and scalable.
