Universal Laser Systems Inc. has enhanced its XL series CO₂ laser processing systems with the addition of a laser that can provide 400 W of air-cooled power. Featuring stand-alone capabilities, the systems are engineered to handle laser engraving, cutting and marking needs in industrial applications. The XL-9200 and the XL-12000 models offer 36 × 24- and 48 × 24-in. processing fields, respectively. The 400-W configuration is designed for deeper engraving, for cutting thicker material and for more rapid processing. The direct air-cooling technology eliminates the need for chillers and complex plumbing.
