New Electronic Technology (NET) GmbH has expanded its Foculus line of monochrome and color IEEE-1394 digital cameras with the addition of the S-series models. They measure 29 × 44 × 63 mm, include Sony CCD matrix image sensors, and produce VGA resolution of 640 × 480 pixels at up to 86 fps and UXGA resolution of 1600 × 1200 pixels at 16 fps. Binning modes of 2 × 2 and 1 × 2 are available to reduce noise and increase light sensitivity. The cameras feature a C-mount lens, progressive scan, an external trigger, low smear, good antiblooming, high sensitivity, variable shutter speed, an adjustable low frame rate, sub-sampling and an electronic shutter.
