Hexagon Metrology Inc., a supplier of measurement and inspection hardware and software, has opened its new North American headquarters in North Kingstown, R.I. The multipurpose, 126,000-sq-ft facility encompasses demonstration rooms, classrooms for software training and space for management and financial operations.

A 58,000-sq-ft manufacturing complex will accommodate production of Brown & Sharpe brand coordinate measurement machines and of air bearings, a key component in the machines. The company is a subsidiary of Hexagon Measurement Technologies, a business unit of Hexagon AB of Nacka Strand, Sweden.
