Cortina Systems of Sunnyvale, Calif., has purchased product lines of Intel’s optical-networking components business. The transaction includes a broad selection of the Ethernet media access controllers and physical layer devices lines. Cortina also bought the Santa Clara, Calif., company’s entire portfolio of transport and service framers, optical transport forward error correction framers and T1/E1 line interface products.
