New Electronic Technology (NET) Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH has completed its Foculus camera series with the introduction of the FO442SB (monochrome) and -SC (color) IEEE-1394 digital CCD cameras. They have a 2/3-in. progressive-scan image sensor, industrial lock-screw support, optoisolated I/O, a frame-save function, a look-up table, a C-mount lens and an external trigger. Signal-to-noise ratio is 56 dB or better, transfer rate is 400 Mb/s, resolution is 1392 × 1040 SXGA, and pixel size is 6.45 × 6.45 μm. The cameras, which measure 64 × 64 × 60 mm and weigh ∼300 g, operate over a temperature range from –5 to 45 °C. Applications include machine vision, factory automation, quality control, semiconductor inspection, bar-code reading, medicine and microscopy.
