Manufacturer: NovaWave Technologies’
PM ISOLATORS

NovaWave Technologies’ polarization-maintaining (PM) isolators are available in single- and dual-stage versions and in two grades. Both versions have center wavelengths at 1310, 1480 or 1550 nm and a minimum extinction ratio of 20 or 18 dB, depending on the grade. The single-stage version has typical peak isolation of 42 or 40 dB, and the dual-stage model, 58 or 55 dB, also depending on grade. All versions achieve maximum continuous-wave optical power of 3 W and maximum tensile load of 5 N. Operating temperature is from –5 to 70 °C. The isolators are suitable for use in polarization-maintaining fiber amplifiers, fiber lasers, high-speed communications systems and instrumentation applications.
