BEAM DEFLECTION
Raylase AG has expanded its Superscan family with the addition of a miniature two-axis X-Y laser beam deflection unit that has a diameter of 9 mm. The Superscan-9 delivers a writing speed of >500 cycles per second, a repeatability of 20 μrad and long-term drift of <0.45 mrad over a period of eight hours. It weighs 1.5 kg and is robust and dustproof. Mirrors and objectives are available for all typical laser types and working field sizes. The scan head is electrically and mechanically compatible with the XY2-100 standard and can be controlled via a high-speed data link with a suitable control card or by an analog current or voltage interface. Materials processing applications include engraving, ablation, drilling, cutting and welding. Electronic production applications include structuring, trimming and processing on the fly. The system also is suitable for stereolithography, rapid tooling and 3-D applications.
