World Star Technologies Inc. is offering the UH series high-power, single-mode, continuous-wave red laser diode modules in ultracompact packages that have built-in electronic circuitry and optical elements. They operate at 660 nm with 100 mW of optical output and stability of <1%. Wavelength drift is 0.2 nm/°C, noise at a 20-MHz bandwidth is <0.5% rms, pointing stability is <50 μrad, and bore sight accuracy is <2.5 mm/m. The diodes operate from a 3- to 5-VDC supply at an operating current of <200 mA. They measure 12 × 51 mm, have a 200-mm cable, and their operating temperature is from –10 to 60 °C.
