Three plug-and-play development kits for installing RGB color sensors have been released by Avago Technologies. Operable with a PC, they are equipped with software, color sensing modules and a color reader board. The HDJD-JD02 kit detects the presence of specific colors in applications ranging from medical analyzers to LCDs. Suitable for portable display applications such as mobile devices, the JD05 package incorporates a digital color sensor that can interface with a microcontroller without the need for other components. The JD06 features an automotive-grade color sensor for applications in automotive interior lighting and navigational displays.
