In Albuquerque, N.M., Sandia National Laboratories has provided a license to E M Optical Inc. to produce products based on a new configuration for interference microscopy that was developed by Sandia researchers. The technology transfer will reduce Sandia’s costs for maintaining the technology internally, will create jobs and will make important laboratory equipment accessible to the research community.
