The OptoMess system from IB/E Ing.-Büro Klaus Eckerl automatically measures distortion, telecentricity and modular transfer function in imaging optics for the laboratory and the production line. The portable system captures quality factors, such as field curvature and color and asymmetrical aberrations, and records them for evaluation and reports. It can make corrections to a lens and detect the location of the optical axis and the paraxial data, including focal length and magnification. The autofocus function enables reproducible quantification of working distance and back focal length.
