Rolyn Optics Co. has unveiled a line of precision molded polymer aspheric lenses for infinity conjugates in diameters of 12.7 and 25.4 mm. The 12.7-mm-diameter types have an 11.4-mm clear aperture and focal lengths between 12.7 and 127 mm. The 25.4-mm-diameter lenses have a 23.9-mm clear aperture and focal lengths from 25.4 to 254 mm. Edge thickness for both is 2 mm. The PMMA acrylic material, with an index of n = 1.49 and an Abbe number of 61.4, exhibits low birefringence.
