The RF Module for Comsol Inc.’s Multiphysics software package enables simulation for designing sophisticated radio-frequency, microwave and photonics components and simplifies the study of components and systems that deal with propagating electromagnetic waves. Users can design and create prototypes for transmitting, guiding, receiving, filtering and processing electromagnetic waves in applications where frequencies range from radio to optical. They can study multiphysics effects, including the interconnection of electromagnetic phenomena with heat transfer and structural mechanics. The module features characterization of S-parameters and reflection-transmission coefficients.
