Fiberguide Industries Inc. has released a line of V-groove high-fiber-placement-tolerance linear arrays for use with diode-pumped lasers and in applications including telecommunications, data transmission and optical switching. Standard spacing is 250 and 127 μm, with custom spacing available. The optical fiber arrays are suitable for single- and multimode fiber and offer high-quality surface polish, 100 percent core-to-core inspection and, the company says, low insertion loss. Standard or custom channel V-groove arrays can accommodate 96 fibers. Terminations include FC, ST, SC and LC.
