MV Laboratories Inc. has introduced a line of ultrahigh-purity rare-earth chemicals that have low levels of iron and other undesirable transition metals such as chromium, manganese, cobalt, nickel and copper. The company says that the calcium and silicon levels also are lower than those found in other commercial-grade types. The product line, developed primarily for optoelectronics research applications, includes all 14 rare-earth chemicals.
