DuPont Fluoroproducts has added the PV2100 series to its Tedlar line of polyvinyl fluoride films. Used in the construction of protective backsheets of photovoltaic modules, the films are more stable, have higher tear strength and abrasion resistance, and reflect light more efficiently than other films made by the company. Higher stability helps module makers prevent wrinkling problems during vacuum lamination, and higher reflectance increases module output and efficiency. The films also feature improved aesthetics, including a smooth, glossy finish, and are available in a variety of colors.
