UV LASER SERIES

The Spectra-Physics Div. of
Newport Corp. has released the Tristar high-repetition-rate UV laser series. The state-of-the-art 355-nm light sources can be configured with more than 800 mW of power at 100 kHz, with a pulse width of <25 ns and peak power stability of <5%. Its repetition rate can be lowered to 50 kHz to achieve an average power of more than 2 W or increased to up to 150 kHz to enable higher processing speeds. The instruments maintain a round and tight focus to apply laser energy precisely where it is needed, without damaging or wasting surrounding material.
