TechnoLab GmbH has extended its line of metal-halogen light sources with the prealigned external TecXon, designed for any technical microscope or endoscope. The sunlike spectrum with a high white level permits illumination in applications from simple lighting to complicated inspections. Available also in UVA and UVB versions and with power from 35 to 80 W, the light source has a working life of up to 6000 h. The lamp can be used to inspect objects that are sensitive to heat, and the interior ventilation keeps it cool and comparatively quiet.
