Unaxis Optics of Balzers, Liechtenstein, has signed a nonexclusive technology license agreement with 3M Precision Optics Inc. of Maplewood, Minn., to access the latter’s Vikuiti TIR prisms. The prism — an important component of Texas Instruments’ DLP technology — enables the construction of compact light engines and can be used in other configurations to achieve internal cabinet layouts.
