An acquisition trigger module has been launched by Cedip Infrared Systems. It enables the company’s line of infrared cameras to precisely measure and characterize transient thermal events, even when microsecond exposure times are required. The module connects directly to the PC USB port, resulting in high-precision image acquisition and recording. The short electronic latency times and digital output data stream provide almost instantaneous recording status. Operators control each stage of data acquisition via prepare, start, pause and end recording functions. Applications include ballistics and target signature measurements, fire detection, radioactive zone thermal measurements and R&D applications.
