Flir Systems Inc. has announced a high-definition scientific-grade thermal imaging camera with a 640 × 480-pixel focal plane array. The ThermaCam SC640 has an uncooled detector, is supplied with a long-life lithium-ion battery and is portable and durable. The camera weighs 3.8 lb., and it captures and records thermal patterns in real time and is supplied with Windows-based Researcher plug-and-play software that includes measurement and analysis functions such as isotherms, line profiles, area histograms and image subtraction.
